SNUBBIX

Process

How a SNUBBIX project runs

Ten defined stages, from your first message to project closure. You always know what stage your project is in and what happens next.
  1. Stage 1 of 10: Project submission

Send your project details through the quote form: duration, file count, what you have (transcript, subtitle file, video) and what you need.

  2. Stage 2 of 10: Requirements review

We check the requested output, style rules, target platform and deadline, and ask for anything missing.

  3. Stage 3 of 10: Source material assessment

We look at the actual files: is timing information present, is the transcript complete, is the audio usable? This determines what can be delivered and how accurately.

  4. Stage 4 of 10: Quotation approval

You receive a written quotation with scope, price, delivery estimate and validity date. Nothing starts until you approve it.

  5. Stage 5 of 10: Project processing

We format, segment and/or synchronize your subtitles according to the approved scope.

  6. Stage 6 of 10: Quality assurance

Automated structural checks run on every file, then a person reviews flagged issues and, where included, spot-checks timing against the source.

  7. Stage 7 of 10: Customer review

If your quotation includes a review stage, you check a draft before final delivery.

  8. Stage 8 of 10: Final delivery

Files are delivered electronically through the agreed channel, with a validation summary.

  9. Stage 9 of 10: Agreed revisions

Report deviations from the agreed specification within the review window and we correct them within the included revision round.

  10. Stage 10 of 10: Project closure and retention

The project is closed, invoices and delivery records are kept for accounting, and source files are handled under the retention schedule stated in our Privacy Policy.

Important

Formatting existing timestamps vs. creating accurate timestamps

Formatting

Your text already has timing

If your transcript or caption export already includes timecodes, we restructure it into valid SRT: numbering, timestamp syntax, cue boundaries, line breaks. The timing is only as accurate as the timecodes you supply — we don't need the video, and we don't verify the timing against it unless that's quoted.

Synchronization

Timing must come from the media

If your text has no timing, or the timing no longer matches the video, accurate timestamps have to be created by aligning the text with the actual audio. That requires usable source media and is priced per video minute. Accuracy depends on audio quality and on the transcript matching what is spoken.
